Product Description
Powerpole connector set, includes Red and Black Housings and 2 - 15 Amp Contacts. These contacts are for 16 - 20 gage wire.
These come Pre-bonded pair of Red/Black housings. They are in the ARES/RACES standard configuration.
These Powerpole connectors come in one housing size that accomodates three different wire ranges. All contacts are rated at 45 Amps.
The 15 Amp contact indicates a wire range from 16 - 20 AWG.
The 30 Amp contact indicates a wire range from 12 - 16 AWG.
The 45 Amp contact indicates a wire range from 10 - 14 AWG.
This allows for interchangeability between all three sizes of contacts and suggests a general current range.

Convenient for most common configuration
I always use 15A contacts if I can (ignoring the Amperage rating - that's just he name), so if a wire will go in, that's good, and even if it almost fills the tube, it means a good solid crimp. Having the black and red housings bonded saves time and hassle while assembling, and means they don't separate in (mis-) use! A bit more expensive than the loose housings, but that's worth it.
